At ARTparenting we handle all the details from the very first meeting through the birth. We make sure our surrogate mothers* are kept informed, cared for, and comfortable with the entire process.
Explore our website to find out how our surrogacy program works — including the financial considerations. If you want to contact us, we’ll be happy to answer any of your questions about the process and how to get started.
* Gestational Surrogate Mothers are more commonly referred to as Gestational Carriers, Gestational Surrogates and less accurately as Surrogate Mothers.
ARTparenting’s founder, Meryl B. Rosenberg, Esq., has worked with hundreds of gestational surrogates and intended parents since 1993. Integrity, personal attention, and hands-on guidance are our hallmarks. Meryl has a well-established reputation in the field of reproductive law and volunteers her time to further the development of assisted reproductive law. We ensure that every surrogate and intended parent are fully supported throughout the process — from the match to the birth of the child. Read what others have said about ARTparenting. A central feature of our program is the focus we place on the matches we make between the parents and the gestational surrogates. Each surrogate is closely consulted about who she would most like to help — whether she prefers to work with intended parents who live locally or overseas, families that already have a child, same-sex couples, or if she has another preference.

An important factor in your decision to become a surrogate may be financial. To qualify you must be financially stable in order to minimize the burden on you and your family. The amount of any payments or ancillary expenses is based on multiple circumstances. For more information, please review Fees and Expenses for Gestational Surrogates or contact us directly for compensation details.
A gestational surrogate mother (also known as a gestational carrier) is a woman who carries a child conceived through IVF using an egg from a donor or the intended mother. The child will not be genetically related to the gestational surrogate.
These are some of the basic requirements for becoming a surrogate in Pennsylvania:
• 21 to 43 years old.
• the mother of one or more children.
• enjoy being pregnant.
• healthy with a body mass index (BMI) 32 or less.
Please read about additional requirements and find out more about How the Program Works.
The decision to become a gestational surrogate is a life-changing choice. It requires a level of commitment that only a generous, capable and nurturing individual will be able to meet. We know that raising children is one of the ultimate joys in life. A willingness to share that joy with others is admirable, and is what inspires ARTparenting to bring surrogates and intended parents together.
We are grateful for your interest. If you would like to learn more about participating in our Pennsylvania surrogacy program, we would like to hear from you. To find out if you may qualify, please fill out our simple Surrogate Inquiry Form or call 301-217-0074.

I have known Meryl for about 10 years and am on my fourth surrogacy with her. She listens when you have to vent and is easily accessible. If you have questions or concerns regarding contracts, intended parents, facilities, etc. she is very knowledgeable.
She actually makes the whole situation, especially the delivery, easy to deal with because she has everything in place prior to the birth. I would recommend anyone who is interested in surrogacy to Meryl. ~ADREION
